C++ Developer

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to design and develop software applications in a customer oriented environment. We are looking for someone who has a sense of urgency and drive in everything they do, with a demonstrated ability to deliver a complete, working solution that meets specified deadlines. This position is located at SAPIEN's headquarters in Napa, California.

Required skills include:

· Proficiency in Visual C++ 6.0/MFC, Win32
· Working knowledge of C# and or VB.NET and the .NET Framework
· Strong programming skills with strong understanding of project cycles, software development environments.
· Multi-threading experience (threads, synchronization and concurrency issues)
· Work closely with other team members to meet aggressive deadlines
· Strong skills in research, project planning and implementation.
· Outstanding troubleshooting and technical support skills
· Experience using source control(Visual SourceSafe) and defect tracking systems
· Good Communication and Teamwork Skills
· Proficient as a problem solver, and able to analyze and debug software specific problems.

Desirable skills include:
· Web development using ASP and ASP.NET a plus.
· Knowledge of scripting technologies, VBScript, JScript and PowerShell a plus

Education / Experience :
· Bachelor degree in Computer Science, software engineering, or equivalent work experience in software development.
· 5+ years solid application development experience using C++ (Visual C++/MFC )
· 4+ years object-oriented design and implementation

Web Application Programmer/Developer

SAPIEN Technologies, Inc., a premier developer of Windows scripting software for the IT and web communities, has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Web Applications Developer who will be responsible for the development of new and existing systems at its Napa headquarters.

Required skills include:

· Experience with Web Applications Development and administrative scripting
· ASP
· ASP.NET
· C#/.NET and/or VB.NET
· VBScript
· Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Microsoft Visual SourceSafe
· JavaScript
· SQL Server 2000/2005
· Web Services / SOAP
· CSS, XHTML, XML, DHTML
· Web Forms

Must be creative and comfortable learning and using new technologies, able to work on multiple projects at one time, possess strong client interaction skills and work well within a collaborative team environment. Candidate will be responsible for maintenance of existing ASP and ASP.NET websites, creation of utilities/mini-applications with C# or VB.Net, and support of application development teams. Additional duties may include responding to 1st tier product technical support issues.
